Terms of Service

By creating an account or using MealPoll (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is provided by MealPoll, based in India.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental consent, to use MealPoll. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information.
• You must keep your password confidential and not share it.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

MealPoll supports two roles: Owner and Customer.

• Owners create and manage messes, set pricing, post menus, and view customer data within their mess. Owners are responsible for the legality of their service offering, food safety, and any agreements with their customers.
• Customers join messes via invite code, vote on meals, and view their own bills.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
• Submit false information, including fake meal responses, false guest counts, or impersonation.
• Bypass technical limitations such as customer-limit enforcement.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

MealPoll offers Free, Pro, and Business plans. Plan details and customer limits are described in the app and may change over time. We will give reasonable notice before changing pricing for existing paid subscribers. Failure to pay may result in downgrade or loss of Pro/Business features.

In-app payments (for plan upgrades or customer bills) are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your full card or bank details.

Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us within 7 days at support@mealpoll.com.

Bills between owners and customers (for meal services) are arrangements between those parties. MealPoll only calculates and tracks them — we are not party to that transaction and not responsible for collections or disputes.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (mess details, menus, names). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

MealPoll retains all rights to the app itself, its code, design, trademarks, and branding.

• You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
• Your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of calculations, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements. MealPoll is a software tool — food safety, meal quality, and the underlying mess service are entirely the responsibility of the mess owner.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MealPoll and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold MealPoll harmless from any claim arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
